- Automatic temperature control means consistent accuracy and peace of mind. With DeLaval calf milk pasteurizer CMP1000 your milk is automatically heated to161° F (72°C) for 15 seconds. If the pasteurization temperature drops below the preset value, DeLaval CMP1000 automatically reheats the milk before releasing it. When the pasteurization temperature is reached, the normal pasteurization process starts again and the pasteurized milk leaves the storage tank through the delivery line.
- An automatic washing unit can run the complete washing cycle. After your pasteurising session the attached DeLaval cleaning unit C125 begins automatically cleaning the pasteurizer according to preset requirements. All rinsing, alkaline and acid washing cycles are carried out automatically, including the loading and draining of water and chemicals.
- Pasteurizing non-saleable waste milk provides the opportunity to produce a low cost, high value liquid feed for calves. If managed properly, it also has the potential to substantially reduce the cost of rearing calves. In fact pasteurizing milk for calves can drop the calf mortality rate from about 20 percent to 0.25 percent in just two-and-ahalf years. (M.Hanson; Dairy Herd Management, 2003).
- An easy to understand control system makes installation simple.
- The unit is relatively small so it only requires the approximate space of a small milk bulk tank.
- Calf nutrition is relatively unaltered by feeding pasteurized milk with this solution. The pasteurization process limits the number and type of pathogens passed from your cows to your calves via waste milk. It also maximises the value of your waste milk and makes it less risky to feed
