A working farm since 1901, you can now see milk producing cows in three different barns and visit the Exhibition Hall. Welcome!
Hamra Farm is used as a research facility to develop, test and evaluate our products. Milking is done in several stalls: a conventional herringbone parlour; a parallel parlour and a VMS unit.
Hamra boasts approximately 200 milk producing cows in three different barns and has been run as a commercial enterprise since 1901. It produces milk in both stanchion and loose-housing environments.
Apart from milk production, Hamra farm lets out properties, has crops, husbandry, plant and equipment, forestry, a gravel pit and a modern conference facility with accommodation.
Hamra Farm was purchased in 1894 to “carry out studies of milk production” and to make Hamra a modern agricultural holding with first-class livestock.
