DeLaval appointed to NMC board of directors
Dr. Mario Lopez, an employee of DeLaval, was recently appointed to the board of the National Mastitis Council (NMC). In this position, Dr. Lopez will help steer the directives of this professional organization devoted to reducing mastitis and enhancing milk quality. The duration of his appoint is three years (ending January 2015).
“It’s important that the interests of teat dip manufactures, like DeLaval, are represented in topics related to mastitis and milk quality,” says Dr. Lopez, DeLaval Manager of Technical Service and Clinical Trials for its Milk Quality and Animal Health division. “Our involvement with NMC shows the commitment of DeLaval to providing the dairy industry with safe and effective udder health solutions.”
NMC promotes research and provides information to the dairy industry on udder health, milking management, milk quality, and milk safety. Founded in 1961, NMC has close to 1,500 members in more than 40 countries throughout the world.
